Standing by the shores of Blessington Lakes will leave you speechless. Set across three peninsulas, renowned course architect Patrick J. Merrigan has created a stunning 18-hole championship golf course paradise at Tulfarris. Test your handicap among breath-taking surroundings where ponds and wild grasses blend into the exciting design against sweeping panoramic views. Whether you are a leading pro or an enthusiastic beginner, Tulfarris Golf Course offers an exhilarating test.
The Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort is undoubtedly a golfing complex to rival the very best the country has produced over the last ten years. With a stunning lakeland setting, it has already received much acclaim from the golfing fraternity - "Awesome is the only word to describe it" (course architect, Paddy Merrigan).
Few would disagree with this assessment. No doubt, its tough from the tiger tees, especially with so much water about, but any golfer worth his salt will relish tackling such holes as the 16th, a par three of 190 yards where a lake and majestic, age-old oak trees mean that only the most precisely struck and flighted medium iron will finish on the green.
Another memorable hole is the 7th, where the tee shot is hit out over Poulaphouca Lake and then doglegs its way up to a well-trapped and delightfully created green. Tulfarris will lend a new dimension to lakeland golf not just in Ireland but throughout Europe as well.
