What a great way to start the week with a game of golf at Castlerock Golf Club in Co Londonderry

Castlerock Golf Club is a classic links course set amid towering dunes and situated on the Causeway Coast.

Awarded Ireland's "Hidden Gem" for Links Golf on the North Coast.

The championship Mussenden Course is a par 73 with five par 5’s, four par 3’s, and nine par 4’s. This classic links lies a few miles across the River Bann from Portstewart. The view down the coast each way is spectacular, with the impressive headland of Inishowen in Donegal to the West. A round here will test every department of a golfer's game! The golf is divided between some inland holes along the railway at the start and finish of the round and some true linksland gems in between.

The fourth hole "Leg of Mutton" is a classic par 3 of 200 yards to a green protected on the right by the railway line, a teasing stream around the left of the green and some strategic bunkering. The two shot seventh called the Armchair with its plateau green embedded in the surrounding sand hills also merits mention. The club enjoys the distinction of being listed in Golf World magazines Top 100 Courses in the British Isles and should Castlerock be your last port of call you'll have no excuse for not leaving Northern Ireland a contented soul. Additionally, the 9 hole Bann Course has widened the appeal of the club and contains a par-5 which has been described as “one of the most scenic holes in Irish golf". We strongly recommend members take advantage of the excellent 27 hole rate offered by the club in order to play the Bann Course.
