Designed by Eddie Hackett, the par 72 is rarely achieved on this Championship Atlantic Links. The back nine has been described as "the equal of any in the world" with the very testing par 3 13th probably the signature hole. Ranked 21st in Ireland's 30 Greatest Golf Courses (1995), the internationally famous links offers a wealth of scenic beauty and a tremendous challenge to any golfer.
It is no surprise that the Connemara Pro-am is now a recognised event on the Irish PGA calendar. An additional nine was opened in May 2000 to further enhance the already first class facilities at Connemara.
