What a day to play some golf. The sun is out at Mersey Valley GCC in Cheshire

This course - a par 72 18-hole course - designed and constructed by St Mellion Leisure, is the home of the first Jack Nicklaus Course in Europe and plays host to the Benson & Hedges International Open Golf Tournament.

Situated directly between Liverpool and Manchester, just off the M62, Mersey Valley Golf & Country Club was founded in 1995. It was built by St Mellion Leisure, and is already very well established. Since its opening a further 15,000 broadleaf trees have been planted which has greatly enhanced the existing parkland setting of this excellent test of golf.

It is a very easy walking course, which makes it ideal for senior golfers or if you fancy making a day of it and playing 36 holes. The clubhouse provides a warm and friendly atmosphere for relaxation and the team at Mersey Valley will make every visit one to remember.
