The Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort is undoubtedly a golfing complex to rival the very best the country has produced over the last ten years. Few would disagree with this assessment. No doubt, its tough from the tiger tees, especially with so much water about, but any golfer worth his salt will relish tackling such holes as the 16th, a par three of 190 yards where a lake and majestic, age-old oak trees mean that only the most precisely struck and flighted medium iron will finish on the green.
Another memorable hole is the 7th, where the tee shot is hit out over Poulaphouca Lake and then doglegs its way up to a well-trapped and delightfully created green. Tulfarris will lend a new dimension to lakeland golf not just in Ireland but throughout Europe as well.
