What better way to enjoy the Lothian Borders but with golf at Newcastleton GC in Peebleshire

Welcome to Newcastleton Golf Club. The club celebrated its centenary in 1994 and is one of the oldest clubs in Scotland.

The Royal & Ancient game of golf is not only played but also enjoyed over 'The Holm Hill' for, in between strokes, the panoramic view is to be admired and envied.

The club is a tough nine hole course that can be played as 18 holes. Overall par of 69, with 34 out, 35 in, total yardage of 5491. The club is managed and maintained by its members. We are very proud of our golf course and the clubhouse, such as it is. It has taken years of hard graft by many to achieve the course as you see it today. Newcastleton Golf Club is a member of the Borders Golf Association and the course has twice held the Borders Golf Association Trophy.

We operate on a non commercial basis with all income being redeployed into the club to maintain facilities and the course. All work is undertaken by members on a voluntary basis to keep the course open for most months of the year.

Because of our isolation you will find no queues for tee times. Indeed during the week, as the club house is closed, we operate an honesty policy: you will need to pay your green fees at Holm Hardware in the village. Please see our listing in the directory for full details of fees payable.

Please come and enjoy our course. It's a challenge, but once you get to the 4th hole it is the best view in the whole of Liddesdale. Enjoy your round.
