Measuring 6229 yards, this 18 hole par 72 course was designed to produce a golfing experience that would present a fair challenge to golfers irrespective of their ability. The designers have used the natural terrain and brought into play many of the magnificent mature trees that exist in the park.
An extensive additional planting programme has further enhanced the layout. The front nine holes will prove a match for even the very best golfers, culminating in a monster length par five well over 600 yards long. The back nine is shorter with a par of 35 and perhaps allows a bit more scope for low scoring. The facilities at Loughgall include plenty of provision for practice and the growing popularity of this excellent facility provides a tangible testimonial to the foresight of Armagh City and District Council, who commissioned the building of the course.
