Doncaster Town Moor has had plenty of time to mature as a golf course and once winding inside the parkland holes at the heart of what was ‘The Race Common’ you could be on any course, anywhere.
The course which has been extensively remodelled over the past 5 years is well draining - Town Moor is proud of it's reputation as one of the best off-season tracks in the Yorkshire area.
The course is more difficult than the yardage may suggest but it is an easy walking stroll with very little gradient changes and suitable for golfers of all standards. With Par of 69 measuring a deceiving 6139 yards, don’t take anything for granted! To beat the card here, you need to be swinging well throughout your round.
Club professional Mark Stirling runs a well-stocked pro shop, offers lessons and has an on-site workshop for repairs.
The AA Golf Course Guide acknowledge the fact that it is easy walking but a testing heathland course with good true greens.
