Borth & Ynyslas Golf Club

The Clubhouse, Aer y Mor, Ceredigion Borth, SY24 5JS

Founded in 1885, this club has a strong claim to be the oldest course in Wales and as one of the founding members of the Welsh Golfing Union has played host to many WGU championships. The traditional links course was influenced by Harry Colt and adjoins both Cardigan Bay and the Dyfi Valley nature reserve. Though not long, it demands a strategic game. The opening and closing holes are exposed, setting a stern challenge especially in the wind, while the holes at the turn are set in the shelter of the dunes, where a golfers accuracy is often questioned.

The easy walking and superb scenery of the Dyfi Valley and Snowdonia beyond are sure to help one forget the odd bad shot. The recently extended clubhouse offers a warm welcome and the club boasts one of the largest pro shops in Wales, which is certainly well worth a visit.

Restrictions: No play Sat between 10-11.15am, No play Sun between 8-10am and 1.30-2.30pm. All tee times subject to availability. Please telephone club to make your booking.
