Among the green hills of Monferrato, as if by magic, a gate opens onto a long avenue shaded by ancient horse chestnuts. Villa Carolina is located in the middle of a centuries-old park that has preserved its romantic charm and the magical colours of its nature for two hundred years. The Villa was a wedding gift for the noblewoman Carolina dei Marchesi Albrizzi, and since the nineteenth century it has been a country residence. Villa Carolina offers its members the utmost comfort and the clubhouse, which has been completely renovated, houses the secretary's office, the changing rooms, the cart and bag depot, the proshop, the bar and restaurant, as well as the guest quarters (20 double rooms) and various rooms, including the billiard room. Its restaurant offers the specialities of this land, where autumn brings rare treasures such as mushrooms and truffles, while the grapes from the vineyard produce typical wines such as Dolcetto, Cortese and Barbera. Tennis courts and a swimming pool complete the outdoor lifestyle options for Club guests, but Villa Carolina has even more surprises in store. The "La Marchesa" course, designed by Cornish & Silva Inc. Golfcourse Architects USA, with 18 holes and the new "Paradiso" course, opened on 12 September 2005, designed by Graham Cooke & Associates Inc.
The first 9 holes were inaugurated in 2006, while work on the second 9 holes was completed in 2014, making Villa Carolina one of the few clubs in Italy with two 18-hole Championship courses for a total of 36 holes.
The Paradiso Course is very technical and requires great precision.
The course differs from the La Marchesa Course in that it is rougher and with more insidious greens.
The Paradiso Course was the venue for the 40th PGA CHAMPIONSHIP from 20 to 23 September 2016.
