The Merchants of Edinburgh Golf Club was formed in 1907 and the course laid out on Easter and Wester Craiglockhart Hills. It was redesigned by James Braid in 1936 for the princely sum of £5, and although not long by modern standards is nevertheless a challenge with small but excellent greens and stunning views of Edinburgh, the Pentland Hills and surrounding areas.

The signature hole is the 13th - aptly named Tap o' the World which is a tricky 210yard Par 3 which can be played with every club in the bag depending on the weather!!

After golf, a warm welcome from our House team awaits in the modern Clubhouse which was rebuilt in 2001. Food and beverages can be consumed at leisure whilst taking in the spectacular views of the Pentland Hills.
