What seems atypical for East Westphalia is characteristic of the Paderborn plateau and the Haxterhöhe Links golf course. Features of traditional dune courses are combined with the conditions on the plateau in the south of Paderborn as well as future-oriented care and play styles.

The course design was created by Achim Reinmuth (Städler Golf Courses) . The shaping was done by Conor J Walsh.
