In the heart of the Food Valley, in a medieval court surrounded by greenery, the Santo Stefano Golf Club is waiting for you to enjoy a true experience of relaxation and fun, between sport and art, diving in the pool and excellent cuisine.

A carefully designed type A Golf Course, with 9 regulation-sized holes, open year round.

The course is narrow with many holes affected by water obstacles and out of bounds. These characteristics make it both an excellent training ground for beginners and experts, where they can try out the use of all the clubs from the starting tees and from the ground, and a course full of stimulating technical challenges during the competitions.

There is a wide practice driving-range where one can rent all the necessary equipment, a club house and changing rooms.

Classes are organized with a coach of national level.

HISTORY

To discover the birth of the court we have to go back as far as 1180, when the complex was founded as the Commenda of the Sacred Military Order of the Knights of Santo Stefano. In 1470 the structure was transformed into a convent and from 1800 it became an Emilian country court. In the 1970s, the painter and sculptor Anselmo Asioli opened the "Arte Europa" gallery there. At the same time, he started a skilful restoration aimed at enhancing the history and elegance of this ancient Convent of the Knights of Arms.

In the early '90s, after a stay at the Golf Club Casa De Campo Resort and Villas, in the Dominican Republic, Anselmo Asioli decided to transform the court's vineyard into a golf course. From this intuition, in 1996 the Santo Stefano Golf Club was born, with an adjoining Club House. The estate was soon enriched and completed with the Hotel, the Conference Room, the Restaurant, the Cafeteria and the Swimming Pool. Here, in an atmosphere both refined and familiar, you can spend pleasant moments of relaxation, served by attentive and friendly staff.
