Woodbrook Golf Club

Dublin Road , Bray

Situated on the Dublin side of Bray, the course is perched on towering cliffs and offers superb views of Dublin Bay. Woodbrook emerged as a true international venue in the late fifties and has played host to the Irish Hospitals Tournament (1958-62), the Carroll's International (1963-74) and the first of the Carroll's Irish Opens in 1975, when Christy O'Connor Junior emerged triumphant. Kel Nagle's performance in 1961 was the forerunner to a number of alterations at Woodbrook but one hole that has remained inviolate is the infamous 18th where the old railway line on the right ensures a very testing finish. In recent times Woodbrook decided to improve their already reputable layout under the expert supervision of Peter McEvoy. With eighteen new putting surfaces built to USGA specifications and other subtle alterations including new teeing areas and defining mounds and hillocks, Woodbrook is now set to regain its former status as a Championship venue.

Restrictions: Excludes Tue (Ladies day) and before 4pm Sat and Sun. Please contact club in advance to make a booking, all tee times are subject to availability.
