The course resembles a seaside golf links with sandy, well draining soil, which supports a variety of trees and shrubs. Originally having an exceptionally long front nine holes, the course has been redesigned to give almost equal halves totalling 6,503 yards.

A stream running through the course provides water hazards on several holes before one reaches an intimidating drive from the medal tee on the 17th and an inviting looking drive down the last. The course also boasts a 6-hole par three short course, practice putting green, driving net and two good practice grounds which enable the enthusiastic player to practice both their long and short games.
