A true championship course, Mallow is a tree-lined parkland course with excellent views of both the Blackwater Valley and the distant Galtee Mountains.

The 7th hole, as seen in the photograph, it's a demanding 454 yards, par 4, which requires an accurate drive to find the fairway, from which the approach shot could be anything from a 3-wood to a 6-iron depending on the vagaries of the wind. When the pin is tucked behind the front right-hand bunker, this is truly a magnificent golf hole.
