The Amarante Golf Club was established in 1997 and in just a short time conquered an important place in the scenery of portuguese golf, confirmed by the attribution of the "Visconde de Pereira Machado Cup" - Club of the Year 2001 by the Portuguese Golf Federation, and the victory of the National Clubs Championship under-18 in 2003.

The club, besides the sporting activity it offers to its partners, and its role in divulging the modality in the Oporto region, formed a team which has participated in regional and national championships, in several categories, with a considerable amount of success.
