Situated at Rosses Point, 8 kms north west of Sligo town, Co Sligo Golf Club is one of the oldest and best known Championship links courses in Ireland. Established in 1894, the present course was designed by Harry Colt in the 1920s and is widely recognised as one of his finest courses.
The spectacular views throughout the course are truly awesome, but nowhere as breathtaking as from the third, fifth and tenth tees where 360-degree panoramas expose the truly astounding beauty of this layout.
Overpowering Benbulben Mountain, the mighty Atlantic, the picturesque small harbor and a few white cottages dotting the landscape – It’s one of the most stunning vistas in Irish golf. Home to the annual West of Ireland Amateur Championship every Easter, the exceptional 18-hole Championship course and the 9-hole Bomore course present an exciting challenge for all golfers and are open all year round.
It has been described by Peter Alliss as “…a tremendous test for the highest quality player and great fun for the modest competitor”.
We especially welcome visitors and tee-times can be reserved each day. Facilities include Bar/Restaurant, Golf shop with Club hire and Buggy hire. Excellent practise facilities also available.
Restrictions: Offer available at all times, based on 1-4 golfers. Please telephone in advance to book. All bookings are subject to availability. Handicap required.
