Ballybofey and Stranorlar Golf Club has become one of the most admired courses in Ulster in recent years. The members and visitors enjoy one of the most pleasant parkland tests in the country. At 5763 yards it is not excessively long but has been so constructed by architect, P.C. Carr, that it requires every club in the bag.
As with all good courses it is pleasing to the eye as all the fairways are tree lined and are rapidly maturing. The fifth hole at almost 500 yards around Lough Alan, with the clubhouse towering in the background, creates a magnificent setting which is complemented by excellent views of the Finn Valley and the surrounding Donegal Mountains.
