Grange Golf Club carries a delightful countryside ambience, with stunning views of the surrounding woods and open countryside. The course itself is a fair par 70, constructed in the 1920's between what was then the main road between Kendal and Grange-over-Sands on the one side and the South Lakes coastal railway line on the other. Many of the original Mackenzie designed holes are still in play but this is not a links type course. It plays its length, and even in summer the runs of the ball are limited while the greens are fast and true.
